Well...who saw it coming?

Ok today was the day to move into the new studio....Fire or water it will still happen, but I am recovering slowly from the flu. Thank you to all my wonderful clients for rescheduling your sessions the next day or two! Opening day is Monday May 18!!!

Ok the time is finally here...Elly will now be serving your portrait needs in a new location! I will be moving my studio to Lake Carroll, Illinois next week! Natural Highs

Well no doubt I have found my natural high....shooting...and shooting those with personality....seniors. I can't express enough how this is right in line with my passion for life. Here's a sneak preview of a guy I photographed last night, he blew me away. We had a blast. Enjoy "T"!

Spring is Here!!!

Wow, here I sit in my office with the windows cracked open, listening to the robins sing praises, and the hyacinths creeping out of the soft earth. How refreshing to know that Spring did remember that we love it so dearly, and is right on time. I'm going to go out and enjoy the sunshine.

Whipper Snappers and Stardom

Well I just spent the day talking about senior citizens...not the over 65 type, but the young whipper snappers that occupy our high schools...and lemme tell ya...I am PUMPED! I know it's been a few years since I have slammed shut the locker, running down the hall trying not to be late for class, but it's still running through my veins...And I can't wait to rev up the Senior season.

Oh and by the way, Channel 13 is also interviewing my husband this week too. Better not forget to vote for him at http://www.redbookmag.com/love-sex/hot-husband/hot-husband-bio-6. He's getting nervous, but it's definetely boosting his self confidence a little. Watch the 3/12/09 Thursday Journal Standard...he will be featured!

"A" was a model I photographed last week..she was absolutely stunning and fun to work with...willing to get dirty and climb walls... She is also a welder! Her eyes captivated me, as they are two different colors. Enjoy!

Senior Models Wanted

For those of you who have always wanted to feel like a star, be a model, or love cheesing it up in front of the camera: Photography by Elly is launching a Senior Model Campaign for 2010 Seniors! Look to your schools for more information coming soon...Or be one of the first to apply by emailing me at elly@photographybyelly.com. Senior models get tons of free stuff, and if they get enough of their friends to have their senior portraits at our studio, the models could earn their senior portraits for free! Better tell mom, she'll like "free" for a price. Applications have to be in by April 10, with mom's approval of course. Keep watching for more details!
